Montipora on live rock?

picked up a piece of live rock today in Omaha, NE on a road trip. it had a nice piece of purple kelp on it, and would make a perfect shelf for my 20 nano.

there is some form of life in three spots on this rock, excluding this kelp. all appear to be the same thing. at first i took it as interesting coraline algae... until i turned off the daylights and it was GLOWING! the purple stayed the same, but spots of pink revealed themselves.

i suppose my question is the following: am i looking at a coral here? a sponge? it is certainly encrusting, it appears to have grown over and down...

ive attached a picture of the largest spot, in white and blue and blue.

I can't really tell from the pics but if you can see polyps, it's definitely coral. Otherwise, I have some coralline in my desktop 15 here that glows fluorescent pink under blues.

You can send me that kelp if it gets to be problematic, it would be great in my display fuge ;)
