resurrecting this old thread...
I'm working on an (almost) all monti 65g. I have a few tubipora, clavularia, and blue polyps mixed in for good measure in the lower light areas.
So far I have:
-setosa
-spumosa?
-LE undata
-green "aequituberculata" (similar to LE, which certainly isnt that species)
-superman
-pokerstar lookalike
-tan/green verrucosa w/ purple polyps
-morning star
-sunset
-capitata
-tyree flower petal
-green danae w/ purple polyps (apple berry?)
-green danae w/ greenish polyps
-confusa green w/brown polyps and purple edges
-really funky nodulous orange/red chunk...might plate down the road
-odd brown/purple encrusting thing like danae but with polyps on the verrucae
-brown with purple polyp pink-edge plater
-super purple foliosa-like plating
-atlantis strawberry patch
-non-LE superman
-non-LE sunset
-purple haze
-wild pink-orange digi salvaged from a rock tank...might have green base...too small to tell yet
-a pink thing that looks a bit like spumosa...same giant polyps...no clue what it will grow into though
-and a few other odds and ends
almost all are still frags at this point though. running a 250w DE ushio 10k over the tank, will be adding t5 supplements soon. this display tank has only been running for around a month (200 gal sump has been going since august).
I still have a wish list though...
Dinosaur egg
reverse sunset
green and purple stellata
some different confusas
foveolata
a nice branching hispida
orange nodosa
and maybe a select few digis (open to suggestions)
peltiformis (bought once but died in shipping)
I've had two brief run-ins with monti nudis, but knock on wood they died quick painful deaths with manual removal and superglue around the edges and so far no need to medicate.
always looking for new montis that make the cut too
