montipora under PC?

hello all,
I just wanted to clear up any confusion about montipora's being able to survive and grow under compact fluorescents. If they would, i am sure that they would have to be at the tip top of the tank, right?

THeyre fine under PCs, and really dont need to be all that high.

(Then again, I have to keep them almost in the sand on my tanks with halides, so that may have soemthign to do with it)

IMO some montis would survive under PC's up high, but wouldn't show their optimium coloration or growth.

depends on the wattage. 96w 10k pcs should be enough to get some decent color out of them. i have seen orange cap colored up nicely at 12" deep under 4 x 55w 10k pcs as well.
