My brain favia that I purchased about a month ago is starting to bleach at the top...The website I purchased the coral from says to place in moderate to high lighting...I have MH...I thought maybe it was getting too much light so I am moved it to the middle of the aqaurium...it is still bleaching. Should I be placing it somewhere else?

What is your water chemistry like? Also, how is the temperature in the tank? Does it fluctuate a few degrees or is it very stable?

Everything in the water chemistry is fine...the ph is a little on the low side at 8.1...The temp only has a difference of 2 degrees by day and night...

The pH you mention should be fine, and the temperature fluctuation shouldn't be of any worry. Try placing the coral into a more shaded area, or an area with more indirect lighting. Also at night time (or whenever the sweepers are out), try offering it some meaty foods and see if the Favia takes it. If it is bleaching it will definitely appreciate the extra nutrient intake, as it has expelled its main source of energy.
