Blue, or White... and why. Or does it matter? I'm finishing up my retro T5 lights and want to include some moon lighting. Thanks.

the moon reflects the suns spectrum exactly. It will only be blue in deeper parts of the water. Chances are its too dim to penetrate that far anway. I would go with white.

If I remember correctly, moon light actually measures at like
460nm or something very close to that. I dont remember the exact details, but it was definatly a specific spectrum of blue.

I was researchind diy moonlight LED and bought that spectrum.
460,470, maybe 450.

Moonlight is 450nm I use LED mr16 style lamps , works great but LED have more of a spot effect so what I do is shine them at the surface at about 15 deg. and it looks awesome

Hey guys...saltwater newbie here. I have a setup with Moon lighting but I'm not 100% certain as to when to turn on the moon lighting. I know they are LED's to technically I can leave them on all the time with no issues but should I only have them on at night? My moon lighting is blue by the way. Looks great!
