moonlight idea and question

i was digging around in the basement and i found a few neons from my old car that i had under it.. would those work for moon lights and how would i wire them up to plug into the wall? there is a thick wire on each side of them.. they are made by streetglow.. i just figured i would ask what your thoughts were on this..

correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the electrical system in cars is both DC as opposed to AC in a house, as wel as being at a different amperage...may be somewhat of a challenge to run those lights off an indoor power supply without causing a fire hazard

not trying to "pimp" anything.. i just don't have moonlights and thought it would work...
