Moonlight Stopped Working on 7095 COntroller

Hi Roger:

I have a 7095 controller for two Streams. The controller is about a year an a half old, and has operated flawlessly. Recently, I noticed that the moonlight function has not been working. It's been over 2 and a half weeks, so I'm pretty sure it's not in the "new moon" phase anymore.

All other functions work perfectly. The LED appears to be clean and dry, positioned well obove the tank where any water would get to it, or excessive heat, etc.

Could it be something as simple as a burned out LED?

I tried turning the moonlight function on and off a week or so ago, but the moonlight still is not functioning.

Any thoughts?

I recently switched out my 6100's to a pair of new 6000's...Is there any correlation between the new drivers and the moonlight malfunction? Just a thought...

Any ideas or fixes would be appreciated. Thanks!

Scott

I don't think the pumps could have caused it, while it isn't common, I have seen bad LED's before. Either they just burn out or the seal wasn't perfect and some saltwater corroded the connection in the photocell/LED assembly. It can be replaced and would be covered under warranty. The new one has to be soldered in so it would have to be sent in for service but it wouldn't take anymore than 2 days.
