moonlights actinics

ok so heres my dumb question i want to do moonlights but will my fish think the lights are still on with these cheap auto lights everyone's now talking about. The reason i ask is my actinics run for a half hour after lights out but none of the nocturnal creatures come out and my fish still swim around just like its daytime. I have had led moonlights and the fish and nocturnals def know its nightime because all the fish are hiding and the creatures come out.

i agree my question is whats the diff between the leds and pure actinic light it looks the same to me

Hi,

I think the main difference is the amount of light output. If your talking 03 VHO bulbs or T5's they put out quite a bit of blue light. The moon light only puts out a small amount of light.
