How many people use moonlights with SPS?

I tried it for the first time last night with my new AP700.. looked in this morning before I left for work and noticed one of my acropora that usually extends polyps at night was less extended.. I'll give it a few nights, just wondering how everyone else is doing with that..thanks.

I have been on many night dives and even on really shallow ones when you turn off your dive light, you are surrounded by blackness.
Only reason I would tr to do moon lights is if I was trying to induce spawning, however most the moonlights on the market today are far too bright.
I keep my tank in total darkness, yet still had a polliciopora spawn a month or so ago.

I was thinking that also. My PAR meter was showing about 2 PAR put out by the moonlights.. maybe too bright
