moorish idol behaviour

my moorish idol is constantly opening and closing its mouth - is that normal? He's being doing that since I got him 10 days ago.

thanks....yes eating, and eating aggressively. Eats everything I put in......

Moorish idols are extremely difficult to keep.
They need fresh/living sponge in their diet.
Most reefers agree they shouldn't be kept except by the VERY ADVANCED.
Some people feed them angel formula which has some dried sponge, might help him.

Angel formula is on the feeding rotation....along with flakes, mysis, pellets, nori and some diced scallops from time to time. He is also fond of brain corals so my lfs keeps any doa corals for me as a treat.
