moorish idol trouble

hello i have moorish idol problems i just got 1 2 days ago its eating good and stuff but it has BAD BAd BAd white shot should i give it a fresh water bath or should i just leave it be and let it sort its self out ??? will a fresh water bath just stress the stit out of it???

I say leave it. Add lots of Garlic, and vitamin/minerals to it's food, soak it good, for a couple days, and see it that helps. Those fish are so finiky. You stress them with a freshwater bath, and chance are he will never eat again, and ultimatly die. Don't bother him, if he's eatting good, fatten him up with the best nutrients possible

I see you have 3 posts, are you new to saltwater? In case you don't already know, they are the hardest fish to keep alive, and do not have a long captive life span. If he was sold to you by a LFS under false information, I would take him back, and get my money back
