Moorish Idols & SPS

Right now i have an SPS dominated tank with a few wrasses and a Red Sea Regal Angel. So far my corals are healthy and my fish all get along. I was thinking of adding a Moorish Idol. Are they compatible with SPS ? And does anyone know if a Powder Blue Tang would get along with the regal by any chance?

If you can get a moorish idol eating, I personally have never seen issue with SPS, now softies and some zoas are a different story. I have one destroy and umbrella leather coral. Just curious, these are all decent size fish that need good amount of swimming room, what size of tank? If you are introducing a powder blue as the last fish you should be fine, any fish after though might be an issue.

i have a 120g tank

Should be fine with SPS.

I'd be nervous with any fish and a PBT...

I have that gut feeling too. my regal is so happy and id hate to destroy that. but i got room for one more medium to large size fish so i wanted something pretty. i love tangs but i adore my regal angel so I'm stumped. thats why i was considering the peaceful moorish idol

We have a Moorish idol in an SPS dominant reef and have not had any issues. We have only had him for 2 months so can't claim to have long term success yet.

I've had my Idol 3 1/2 years in my sps dominate 265 gal reef .. It's 6+ inches and never been a problem. Eats pellete, nori, all frozen foods etc. in other words, the pig o the tank..

I wouldn't get either of those fish in a 120. I think the PBT would be a big problem for your regal angel.
