K well when I came home and found the heater stuck, everything got cooked, and all is dead.:sad2: It was just too late. My question is now, should I move any of the live rock over to my other tanks, or toss it all out? I obviously don't want to risk anything.

Don't toss the rock out, you can re-cycle the rock again.

There might be a chance your bacteria is still alive in the rock though; the pods maybe not so much.

Sorry to hear that about your tank.

I've removed everything that died so far. I just would like to save the rock if thats the least that can be salvaged. I'm going to do a h2o change tomorrow, and let the tank run for a couple weeks with carbon before I switch any of the rock. Thanks for the advice Bro!

you should most likely try to re cycle the rock. i would think most of the bacteria survived.
if it is possible leave the rock where it is and just monitor the water until you have good trate, trite levels

I would recycle the rock like already said. Chances are that the bacteria survived. They can go through alot . Look at what they go through during shipping.
I would clean them off them toss a good piece of LR from your other tank in, just to help out.

Pull out the dead, keep the rock, monitor the parms, BUY A CONTROLLER! and Restock...
