Not sure but N 3 could be a pavona? usually they do grow horizontally a bit but start to expand vertically creating nice shapes.

I'd agree with maroun somewhat - Kind of a toss up between pavona or hydnophora. I'm still not positive on what I have.

How do you know? I only ask because what I have is extremely close, if not the same thing that you have. I'd like to confirm what I have really is pavona.

I've had hydnophora in prior tank. Shape was different and polyps were soft and extended.

Coral pictured has no visible polyp extension. It's quite smooth and is growing in a plating manor. There is no verticle growth from surface.

hydnophora will start budding upwards.

Actually PAvona will also grow uypwards.
Mine came on those maricultured grag plugs so grew upwards while encrusting the plug. I'm assuming that once the plug is encrusted and it reaches rock it will encrust the rock and grow over from there to the usual shape of pavonnas. also pavonas do have polyps although not as prominent as accros and sometimes even emits sweepers. if moved my pavona will retract it's polyps and look very similar in texture to the pic posted here.
Here's a pic of mine

FWIW, it had a large bubble of tissue on it about a month ago. The bubble was the size of a large marble. It appeared that there were polyps growing on it as well. It eventually went away and is growing normally again.

I believe this is how Pavonas grow normally ie encrusting rock and afterwards growing up in a wavy bumpy shape... guess mine was epoxied the wrong way to the plug which caused the unnatural growth pattern.
