More quarantine Woes

So I've been attempting to quarantine two fish in my 20 gallon QT. I've got a aquaclear HOB with sponge and bio material, plus a sponge filter with an air pump. Around 7 weeks ago I got a flasher wrasse and an fairy wrasse. The fairy had ick so I put them in the QT and ordered some copper. The fairy died before I could get the copper in there, but the flasher was fine.
I added the copper(cupramine)and(and I've already been admonished for this one) did prazipro as well. That was about 5 weeks ago. 23 days ago I got a replacement fairy and added him to the QT. He looked a little poor at first but has been strong since. Both were feeding well. I was doing 15-20 percent water changes weekly(and the tank was cycled). However, tonight I come home and the flasher is lying on the bottom of the tank looking like he is near death. The fairy was curled up with him, seemingly keeping him company. However on seeing me the fairy came swimming over and ate like a champ. The flasher barely moved, and has barely moved since. I fear he is a goner. He has no visible lesions. I checked all the tank params and they are all fine. No ammonia or nitrite, salinity, temp, all fine. Copper is 0.5. I can't measure the prazipro but that was weeks ago anyway.

So questions 1. Anything last ditch I can do to save the flasher? 2. Assuming he dies, what do I do with the fairy? The copper was due to be removed next week and then I was going to observe them and then put them in the DT. Do I proceed along the same schedule, or does the whole month start over? Is that another month in copper?

It is never a good idea to add a fish to an in-process QT, particularly one where fish have been infected. Flashers can be a bit tricky, and don't always react well to meds, so not a lot to offer there. You will have to re-start the clock on your new fairy wrasse though.

Because the tank had a fish with ich, I think you need to assume it's still there. Perhaps you just do TTM.

No I was admonished for mixing meds. However it was weeks ago so I don't know that it played a role now in a deterioration that happened over about a day. Flasher died this am. I don't have space or equipment for ttm otherwise would have done that originally. Guess I'll just leave fairy in this copper 30 more days then proceed as originally planned? Funny thing is the only fish with true signs of ick was the original fairy that died. The flasher was just in with him so I assumed, then I put this fairy in(had to as the LFS that I bought him from was closing down for a few months) so I've been treating for ick sx neither ever had...but just trying to be safe....

30 days sounds like of extreme. I've always heard 2-4 weeks for ich, depending on how long it takes to get it cleared up.
