More recirc through calc reactor

Do you think using a slightly larger recir pump on a Korallin 1502 calc reactor has any benefits? The Eheim on my reactor has died and I am thinking about using a pump with roughly 30gph more flow. Any problems or gains from this?

I can't think of any problems with it. THe only thing that may possibly occur is the media could be fluidized with more flow and get into the pump causing damage. I doubt 30 more gph would do that. I don't really know if you would achieve any benefit from it though.
