More than 1 Blenny?

While my DT sits fishless during an ich erradication I have had several weeks to think about fish stocking, and this is going to keep me from making bad decisions.

I have come to realize....I like blennies. I like the midas, starry, orange spotted and tail spot. I have a 110 tall tank with plenty of caves and crevices. The midas is a for sure that I would like to get. I have read some people have more than one, others do not recommend this.

Let's get the debate going, can I have 2 or more of these blennies in my tank or what?

I had a midas blenny which was my favorite fish...added a starry blenny and the midas jumped out a few days later :( I've read that some people have issues, some don't. I never observed any aggression between the two, but they both liked to hang out on the same rock and saw the starry creep up on the midas a couple times and spook him.

Generally, if they have significantly different body types and different habitats, you'll probably be OK. For instance, you can generally mix a combtooth blenny like a bicolor with one of the sabre-tooth blennies (which I know are actually a type of combtooth) like a lyre tail. Otherwise, results probably vary. I used to have both a Smith's Blenny and a Lyre Tail blenny, and they got along great even though they're very similar fish.

This is going to be hit or miss I think, and dependent on the size of tank (I see you have a 110). If you put them in at the same time, in a tank that size, I wouldn't expect issues. I wouldn't do it in a smaller tank though. I know my bicolor blenny attacks its own reflection in the glass! But he is only in a 12g ;)

Alright, I will pick my top 2 and hope for the best! I will need to put a screen on to avoid the carpet surfing scenario mentioned above. :)
