More than one Pistol shrimp/Goby Pair in 35g?

While my 35g tank cycles, I contemplate on possible fish stock. Favorite options include 2 Goby/Shrimp pairs. More specifically, I thought of YWG+tiger shrimp and 2xYasha+Randalls. My tank/rock setup would seem ideal, as there is basically no place around the central rock structure which could not be viewed (the only dead spot is where the two pumps are close to the surface, a place probably avoided by the gobies). Due to the central structure, the pairs on the other hand would not have to see each other all the time, thereby avoiding possible territory conflicts.

What are your thoughts on this plan? would there be problems between the shrimps and/or gobies?

I wouldn't...I have a YWG and tiger pistol that I have had for about 5 years now in a 46 gallon bow. They are extremely active and use the entire tank for burrowing on a daily basis. Their lair has several entrances and exits. I have 2 islands and they even tunneled b/w them and go side to side. Plus the YWG is extremely territorial of his bud and home. I love those little guys and they are def always visible and working all day, they are an instant fav for people that visit. My LFS always has these in stock and occasionally sells trios with 2 fish to 1 shrimp, if you live in New England you can look it up.

My pair have many entrances to their hideout, I have a 46, I couldn't imagine another pair getting along

With a tiger that would be very difficult as other said they are constant diggers and also can get larger than other pistols. If you wanted to try it with say candy stripe pistols you might have better luck.

Wow,good info. Two pairs with one candy each could end up with one candy pair and shrimpless gobies on the other hand...
