I have one Sixline in a 100G cube, Can I get another wrasse? If so which ones are more likely to get along with the 6line ? Should new guy be bigger?

You could get loads of wrasses in a 100g, depending on the type of wrasse.

In my experience six line's don't play nice.

I have 5 wrasses in a 60" 125 and all do good but I do believe it just depends on the wrasse all mine are peaceful every six line that I've had was the meanest fish in the tank and did not take kind to new additions

You can put a bunch in there if you start with getting rid of the 6 line.

There are people here with multiple male flashers that display at each other all of the time. There is a thread somewhere in the I believe Reef Fishes forum, it's quite the thread and worth your time to find and read it. If I come across it I'll come back here and post a link.

+1 unless they make a wrasse with a suit of armor (and I do not know of one), nothing is going to do well with the 6 line

I will not have another 6 line. I think a lot of folks get a 8 line when starting out. I didn't have any other Wrasse but he was mean to just about everything. You might want to seriously thin about setting a trap.

I shudder every time I read p someone getting a 6 line

+1... Horrible fish...get rid of it!

^^^What they have said^^^

A simple fish trap - I like a 1 quart mason jar - laying on it's side will work just fine. Lay it on the bottom and place your net close to the front. It may take several days, but if you put all their food inside the jar (a long turkey baster works well for this) being the pig that it is it will eventually swim in to feast and you will have your chance to get him out.

Thanks folks. I have never had issues with this or previous 6lines so I'll wait till he does something before I start thinking about traps.

You have lots of options IMO. Six lines are good fish but have lots of haters. You could get almost any wrasse that is the same size or larger. I have a mystery wrasse, melanarus, blue head, Solon and Scotts fairy wrasse.

Here are a few threads about reefers with multiple wrasses in their tanks. I don't think any one of them has a 6 line. I'll say that I've never owned a 6 line and I never will just because of all too many threads I've read where they go nuts and very aggressive.

But I do think like was said to you above by RGS2 make sure you get a larger more aggressive wrasse if you're going to keep the 6 line.

And the last one is a great rare wrasse thread. Very picture intense!

Glad I found this on six lines. Just bought an established setup, six line included. He'll be finding a new home before we move him into the 290g. Much easier to catch him now in a small tank!

In a 250 gallon tank. Tank size does impact stocking plan.

My current wrasse include solon fairy, exquisite, red velvet, pink margin, temminicki, Naokis, gray head. All get along fine, some are a little friskier at feeding. The sixline is missing from my gang of wrasse for a reason.
