More weird things - Please ID

These two areas are very soft in texture. I could pull it off with zero effort if I wanted to. A sponge maybe?? The one on the left had a green type of maybe plant or duster of some type in it, but since yesterday, this white stuff has grown over it. It looks just like the object to the right. It has the same texture as well.

I once had similiar lloking things in my tank. More than likely sponges.

intake of a sponge. I have one that is blue, with several intakes. Be happy: they're great water conditioners, must not be exposed to air long enough for air to get into pore, which can kill them.

Great! Sponges are cool. I had one die off when I transported the live rock from the marine store. This one survived some how.

I have some of them on my rock. some people say they are sponges and they are harmless.
I would agree with them so far.
