Martin,
Looks great.

Could you take a few minutes and tell us about reefing as a hobby in Moscow?

Is it a popular hobby or do most people still keep freshwater etc.?

For those that are reefers what is popular? Large tanks vs. nano, sps vs. lps etc.

Thanks.

Hi Mike,

Thanks, its improving after the Gold Algae problems:)

Yes here in Moscow ore generally in the Russian speaking Country is a quit big Saltwater community, most of the tank keepers have LPS, SPS, Soft Corals etc.. most corals fishes are imported from Bali Sri lanka etc.. unfortunately not the same assortment as you have in Germany, UK and US, but quit good selections. also in the local forums you getting nice Frags:):)

About the sizes of the Tanks; its difficult to say but you have various Peoples with Nano Tanks big Tanks, but I think it's almost between 120 - 1000litres.
Shops we have quit few in Moscow but almost problem to get spare/stuff for the tank:(Customs etc.. I personally order stuff in Germany and in the US Market.
Most Filtration systems i guess is Berlin Methode but there are also few which make Zeovit Methode.

Nice tank Martin! Did you replace all the lighting (t5's and Metal Hilydes) with the LED lights or did you just add the LEDs to the lights you already had?

It is very cool to hear about what is different and what is the same outside the US. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Augustus,

Thanks for the nice words,

No there are still working my old lights, wait still for one spare for installing the LED's( can't wait anymore:bounce3:

He we are, one of the first Radion in Russia:D

It will be ASAP better and nice fixed:p

Bests,

martin

Hi slystone,

Yes it was horrible, and I was happy that I was home when the tragedy starts, so I could react with additional Actice Carbon and Oxygen putting into the tank, But I had not much RO water for waterchanging((

But besides the Apitasia Invasion the Tank looks good, i inject now calziumdyhidrat powder (kalkwasser) and hope that the Fiefish get apetite for this Apitasia))
