Mosquito control

Has anyone else ever thought about this or looked into this?
So last night I am in my garage making water. I hear the buzz of the mosquito control truck coming so i cover my open 55g drum of fresh salt water with a towel "Later thought the towel probably did nothing" and closed the garage door. Then I started thinking what are they putting in the air and is it an issue?
I got on my computer and went to the pasco co mosquito control site and it does not say what they are spraying. Monday morning I am calling PCMC to see what they are using. There is no notice of when they are spraying on the site. I know some people like to open there house up to get there PH up. Lots of us make our water in our garage which is not sealed well and I am sure plenty of us dont use sealed drums like me. I do use a semi sealed drum for RODI water. "Same ones Roger uses" but looking close at it there is a hole in the top about 1/4" hole built in the lid.
They must be using something strong in the sprayer because they come by pretty fast. Does anyone know what they are spraying? Is anyone else worried about this?

You're right.....it's never crossed my mind. My tank is next to a window that I open almost daily for fresh oxygen and who knows what pesticides & herbicides they use as well. Got my mind rolling now!

It is a concern for sure. My barrels are completly sealed. This is the reason I run air phase carbon on my skimmer air inlet line. The towel can work but it needs to be wet towel to help it filter better. If my garage doors are closed I'm not worried even it water is open. Garage is sealed enough.

I will post what the PCMC says they use on monday. Not trying to freak anyone out anymore then we already are. The other side of this is wile reading the website I saw they promote mosquito minows so I would think what ever they are using does not hurt the minows so it might not be an issue

I believe they use Malathion. I got them to stop spraying my road as a precaution, but I get drift from the neighborhood 100 yards away. I cannot say that it has ever caused a noticable problem in my systems or client's and my water storage is not 100% sealed.

When I was a kid, they had to spray my area with Malathion to control a severe gypsy moth infestation. Schools were closed and notices were sent around to get cars covered. Today, they spray it at BBQ time...
