Most active nano fish?

First off, quick tank stats:
29gal
40lbs live rock (tons of hiding places and caves)
1 yellow headed Goby
1 clown
1 firefish

The girlfriend wants a new fish that is active... Apparently the 3 we have now are "boring" because they hide or perch until it's time to eat. The clown has his little corner that he doesn't leave also.

What can I get that will utilize the entire aquarium, and is easy to care for?

I second the Golden Midas Blenny, they're a great fish and very personable. I love watching it back into it's hole in the LR and only it's head is sticking out. Very active swimming in the water column pretty much all day. They're always hungry too. :D

It's fast becoming my favorite fish. They're a beautiful golden yellow, she'll love it. Oh and they're on sale now at LA

Look at the link I gave you to LA it says 30 gal so you're fine. If I didn't think it would be ok I would not have suggested it.

29 is the smallest tank for a midas, but with the other fish not active in the water column and only 3 other tank mates I figured it would be okay. They are easily one of my favorite fish. Definitely very personable

You can also look into a Valentini puffer. Another favorite of mine. Will use the entire tank to search for critters to munch on.

Greg, the Gold Midas Blenny is the cheapest right now at LA than you will find anywhere. It's $29, they're normally mid $40's or more. That's where I got mine and while I was at it I got a McCoskers wrasse also on sale. I saved over $30 which is almost what shipping cost.

My big beautiful active Midas jumped this morning. I have the tiniest of gaps in my mesh screen to account for cords and he found his way out. Such a bummer - he was an awesome fish. So if you get a midas, have a screen top!

I know they aren't well loved, but I like six line wrasses. Very active, pretty and pest destroyers. My brother has one in his 30 with about 6-7 other fish, and he's had no issues with him.

Sorry for your loss Brett, they truly are great fish. I'm sure you'll get another one.

Your brother has been lucky with the 6 line. One will never be in any tank that I own.

I've been lucky with my 6 line as well. But I've heard way too many bad things to recommend them for a community tank
