Most effective ric/yuma dip?

I’ve never dipped ricordea in the past, but a lot more pests are popping up locally. What would be the most effective dip for a ricordea? For SPS I just use the Lugols and get the water a nice orange/brown and let it go for about 15 min. With zoanthids I do the same then do a freshwater dip after. Would Lugols okay to do for about 15 min? I'm out of Reef Dip and can't find any locally. I’m about to invest in a somewhat expensive yuma and don’t want to kill it. :)

Thanks,

If your going to buy a Yuma & your thing about dipping it your asking for trouble. Yumas are hard enough to acclimate without putting it under any more stress. If your worried about pests get a toothbrush & gently clean the rock around it.

What makes Yumas that hard to acclimate? I've kept them in the past and haven't had any problems with them, but now I only have ricordea.

Has anyone tried and iodine dip on rics? How did they react to this?

Where are you getting the yuma Chris? Is SF getting some sweet ones these days? I wouldn't dip them personally, as said above they are pretty finicky, especially if your looking at a pink or red. Those have been the most difficult for me in the past.

Sean, I just got the yuma from SF. It's pretty sweet; looks like a watermelon.

I didn't dip it, so hopefully nothing came in on it.
