Most important keys to growing Acros

Knowledge and experience

they are essential for long term success, and help you to deal with probelms when they hit you.

And they always hit you..

Stability for sure.. especially alk.

+1 to keeping hands out as much as possible, but i'm curious how many people always use gloves. I have a few large tanks and using gloves would really make things MUCH harder.

what the reasoning behind hands out of the tank, is it because of the oils and possible soaps/chemicals on our skin?

commitment and a fat wallet and everything mentioned earlier comes next
There are times when I feel tied down to my tank and only God knows how many thousands of dollars I have spent on my tank.

Exactly.. Also, it is to your benefit.. You can pick up a really nasty infection if your skin is broken by a piece of live rock... There is nothing but foreign bacteria in our reefs waiting to invade an open wound..

I have also found that when i go on vacation my corals and whole tank look better when i return. Is it because i just missed it? A little probably, but the fact is that while i was gone no one was jamming their hands in the tank fixing rock work, moving corals or whatever.

Impossible says the guy that tries to hand feed all his fish, LOL.

We'll have to make an exception for you! LOL..

I've heard the same from many reefers. I've also experienced the same.
