Motorized Canopies???

Has anyone motorized their canopy to where it would raise about two feet at the flick of a switch? I'm looking into maybe putting some kind of whinch type motor in my attic and lifting the canopy of the tank in that matter. does anyone have any input on this?

i'm pretty sure i've seen somethin' similar rigged up with a garage door opener, i know a guy in town here has his halide system on his 280 (i think), hooked up to garage door tracks, and it'll just slide outta the way really easily, but it's also inwall, so it hides the tracks

man, how loud would that system be- I don't think my canopy is that heavy- but it's a thought. thanks for the input.
