Mounting acan lords and duncans??

So at Jon's (Fitch4) coral/frag exchange event a few months ago, I bought a frag of red acan's. It was 4 heads, wound up being closer to 6 including ones that were cut (the wife cringed when he went to the tile saw with it), and now there are 8 heads. I've just let it it on the substrate (crushed coral, not fine sand). Do people mount them onto anything? I've have him roll a few times and while it does not appear to do anything, I do have to get in there and put him back.

Same for the duncan head I got at the "learn to frag" meeting. That was one head and is now 6 or 8 (I don't directly feed as much as others do). That just sits with the bottom in the substrate. Do/Did you mount yours (whomever got one)? If so to what? Mine occasionally gets knocked over by a nassarius and I have to upright it. I've thought about drilling a hole in a piece of live rock and inserting him into that.

It should start growing down and around anything you put it on.
Also, you have to think....if they are real happy and growing nicely maybe just leave them where they are?

Hey Mike,
I think you got the Acan from me ;) Glad to see its doing well. Like Reefer said it will grow over any hard surface you put it on. Glue it to a flat piece of LR or I have some 2x2 squares you can mount it to. Same thing with the Duncan
