mounting question

well i have an acro frag thats about 3 inches long. i want to mount ot horizontally but theres a bit of a proble. the only exposed skeleton is were the piece was actually broken off. and if i try to glue or epoxy the end, i will certainly get alittle super glue gel or epoxy on the live tissue on the base. is that ok or will it send it into an rtn frenzy?

I've done both with good results. The side laying down will encrust regardless if it's a healthy piece. You can lay it on a side with polyps and they'll simply be absorbed back into the coral.

thanks for the response but i dont think i used my words well. what im trying to say is i have a frag that there is no way ill be able to mount without getting a good bit of glue on the live flesh. is that okay or will the super glue on the live tissue send it into rtning?

If it's a healthy piece, shouldn't be a problem.
