mounting the transformer?

Roger, hi.

FINALLY fired up the 6000 yesterday. Love it so much I figure once I've got the LR in and aquascaped I'll be wanting to add a second!

Anyway, I know I've seen a thread on this but a search produced nothing: can I mount the transformer (the black puck) vertically using the convenient hole in the middle?

Yes, that is what it is for. Just use a stainless steel screw or better yet Nylon but that requires drilling through and using a nut and screw.

Nylon nut/screw idea is an excellent idea, as I can drill through.
