Moved and EVERYTHING rtn'd/brown jellied

Moved the contents of my SPS dominated tank over on sat night late. As of this morning everything has RTN'd fully or partially. My challices all brown jellied, and a few of my other lps are showing signs aswell. Zoas seem to be doing 'ok' but arent fully opening. I have done a 10 gallon water change(on a 20 gallon tank) using water from an established aquarium. tis a sad day... now all my mini colonies won't be going into my 180 in several months when it was going to be ready.

So goes reefing I guess.

Sorry to hear that. Any ideas what caused it? To have such an immediate reaction I have to imagine something toxic got added to the system or you had one heck of a parameter swing. This is a constant nightmare of mine since I move my tank 3x/yr... Is it looking like a total loss?

Once you stabilize the system shoot me a PM. I'll see what I can do about getting you some frags from my system.

I have moved my tank 4 times in the last yr and a half no issues! Its weird. Things test spot on so its hard to tell. I have read that RTN can be contagious, so I am thinking that a piece may have gotten stressed in the move and had begun the process and I didnt notice prior to placing in the tank and botta bing botta boom white sticks ... Zoas havent melted or anyhting but arent open. My tyree, aquascene, and tubs chalices brown jellied, and Im keeping a close eye on the rest of my LPS. Done a 50% waterchange already, thinking about another as the water is full of 'tissue'. Thanks for your gracious offer, I may just have to hit you up for that!

I think once the system is reliable I am going to try to get itty bitty frags of coral, hopefully NICE ones again too, and start the growout process now as the 180 wont be ready til november most likely. I figure I may be able to afford some choice corals if they are tiny. It stinks cuz I had some really nice minicolonies .

Ya prob won't need that stand. I sorta made one anyways for the time being. Thanks though Peter!

Thanks! Ya I pulled all the lps that looked suspect and well the SPS took care of itself.
