I bought a 440 gallon and 300g sump with liverock and a bunch of coral (mostly softies).
I am looking for cheap ways to store all of this stuff safely while I clean and buff out the tank.
I was going to move it all in brute trash cans (unless you know a cheaper way) and store it all back in the 300 gallon stock sump and whatever the cheapest things are that will hold large water volumes?
I was thinking a couple of plastic kids pools? any ideas?

rubbermaid makes the 300g stock tanks for around $200, but there has to be a cheaper temporary way to store it all. the main tank is full of liverock by the way- probably

well I have been brainstorming... what do you guys think of a pool of some sort? I was thinking hard plastic or inflatable, I am not sure if that would hurt the water or not...

Kiddie pools are great as long as they are not exposed to the laws of Murphy. I.E. "Hey dad cool you got us a pool for the summer!" "Even cooler we can go fishin!"

i cant find the pic but i remember someone having an entire reef setup in a kiddie pool in his garage while he upgraded.

Google Steave Weast (I think I got that right) or go to www.oregonreef.com he changed out a gigantic tank for and even bigger one. He had some type of inflatable pool that he used for all of the live rock and water that were stored for about 3 days while he did the changout. It may be worth taking a look at.

my lfs (coral dynamics) has a pool as part of his growout system :)
