Moving a bta

I need to remoe my bta from it's current location so I can add new rock. what is the best way to remove it, and also the best way to get it to attach itself to the new rock without it floating around the tank? I know once it has attached, it may move to a location it likes best. This one has been in the same spot for 1 1/2 years, and is huge.

Aim a powerhead at it's foot to get it to move. I've had luck using an ice cube on the base of the foot to get it to detach enough that you can pry (gently) your nail underneath to coax it to release.

I would try and leave it on the rock it is on and just relocate the rock it is attached too.

I'd love to, but I'm replacing all of my rock due to a huge bubble outbreak, and the rock it is on is one of the pieces that is infested the most. All you can see is BTA and bubble algae.
