Moving a fish from his "spot"

My new midas blenny decided his perch/home is a little crevasse between the overflow and the side of the tank. He comes out and swims around, but I'd rather him perch on something.... natural looking. Any ideas on how to make him move his perch?

i doubt you'll be able to convince him to move and i don't know how you would do that unless you rearrange everything in your tank or fill in the gap he's using. my 2 hawkfish perch more on my gyre and my return jets than rocks. i've even seen them perch on a snail crawling up the glass.

Fish aren't sentient, but they're intelligent enough to know what they want. You'll have to remove the spot if you want him to be somewhere else.

it happens often. i'll try to get a picture but i can't promise you anything because as soon as i move toward the tank, they all swim to the front. LOL
