Moving Fuzzy Chitons

I have already posted this in reef discussion, but figured I would probably get a better answer down here(I never knew there was a invert section!).

As the title suggests I'm replacing my LR(dry pukani I did not cure correctly and I'm still having algae issues 2 years later) and have an army of fuzzy chitons. My questions arises from having to remove them off my current rock, how does one go about it without harming them? They are not like a regular snail where you can just twist and pull slightly to get them to release. With the chitons there is nothing to grab a hold of to try and remove them.

Anyone with suggestions I'm all ears.

Put a shell or other moveable surface in its path and wait until it crawls onto it. Scatter some rubble and wait, nab them at opportunity.

I emailed John over at reefcleaners(only place I've ever seen them for sale, and where I bought mine), and his reply was exactly the same.
