They Got My Number
I am picking up my pair of spawning GSM Clowns tomorrow and I was wondering if there was anything I need to know about moving them into my tank.
They will be the largest fish in the 55gal being 4.5" and 3.5" but they will be sharing the tank with a 3" Picasso Trigger, a 2.5" Flame Angel, a 3" S&S Puffer, and an 18" Snowflake Eel. This will only be temporary as the other fish will be moving to a 180 gal in December and the Maroons will be moving temporarily to a NC24 at the same time until I can get my breeding setup put together.
Do I need to know anything about moving a pair? I know they will probably stop spawning when they are moved until they feel comfortable again and I'm sure that will not happen until they get into the Nano so they can be alone.
Do I just introduce them at the same time after acclimation? Will they immediately recognize their mate when they are put into the new tank? Am I better off separating the tank and giving the pair their own 1/3 of the tank until the Nano is ready? Should I transport them in the same bag or separate bags?
