Anyone have some really good links, ideas, comments, suggestions???
I was going to set up ro unit, 2 trash cans (one salt one fresh). A rubbermaid for live rock with power head, but whats the best method for keeping livestock while setting up the tank coral, inverts, and fish? should I have to worry about a cycle? Move is 30 min away.

I got one big suggestion. don't do it full! I've tried it (at least wear a diaper if you do)

seriously though, I always have extra salt buckets around and use those to transport my fish, coral, rocks, whatever I need to. You can get either a battery powered or plug in air pump to keep oxygen in the water for your livestock if their going to be out of the tank for very long. Also have to keep in mind the specific livestock your are transporting, some fish you dont' want in with others during this stressful time and you dont' want them overly crowded in a bucket or anything, same with corals, they can kill each other and you gotta be careful that way.

As for a cycle, you should probably prepare for a spike in ammonia and/or nitrates just in case. Some ammo-lock or similar product for that just in case emergency of die off occuring while transporting rock and sand. Many recommend rinsing out the sandbed while your moving since sandbeds often have alot of trapped "gunk" that'll worsen water quality when disturbed.

Get A bunch of 5 G buckets. It will be a lot easiier to move that size bucket. You can line them with Green trash bags and tie them off so nothing splashes or jumps out .This way you can seperate livestock rocks sand and corals. Make sure you get just plain bags and none of those funky scented or oder guard ones.

If possible you could set up 20g of fresh salt water ahead of time at your destination. This way you might not have to tote so much water on moving day plus you get a good water change. Your killing two birds with one stone.

If you are moving other stuff make sure your tank is the last thing packed and the first thing unpacked and setup at the new place!

Good luck!

One more thing . If it is a real hot day , You might want to transfer the fish in trash bag lined coolers to keep the temp stable.
