moving my mantis

I currently have a mantis in my 15 gal reef tank. I'm not sure what type it is, but it came in some live rock from the Florida Keys. It is about 2" long and hasn't grown much in the 1.5 years I've had it. I am dismantling the tank soon and am thinking about keeping the mantis. Would it be ok in a 2.5 gal tank with some live rock? I really can't put it in my other tank.
Thanks!

5 gallon eclipse make the best homes for them. any eclipse tank from 5 and up will make a good home!

Most small mantis don't need lush green meadows to roam, they pretty much stick close to their burrow. If that's all you have. go with it you can always by a larger one later. But if you plan on buying one go 5g+

It can live in 2.5 My G. glabrous lives in a 1.5, although this is a temporart home. Space to roam isn't that big an issues as much as quality of water (Which gets better the bigger you go, as sudden swings aren't as much a problem.
