Moving. Time to qt?

Hi,

I'm soon moving into a new apartment and new tank. I was probably going to set up temporary tubs to house my current fish. I didn't qt them originally and while none have exhibited any parasites, I thought now would be a good time to qt everything. Couple of questions:

How long should I keep my liverock/coral fallow? I assume separating the coral and rock into a container with no fish can starve flukes, ich, etc? I'm still acquiring equipment for the new set up so I'm not in a huge rush to have everything set-up.

I've done a decent amount of reading on QT techniques but any advice would be great. Curious if most people just go with one or two treatments of Prazipro or do you also administer Cupramine as this article suggest? (http://www.advancedaquarist.com/blog/quarantining-marine-fish-made-simple).

Thanks!

I'm not a QT expert but since they've been in your care with no issues, I would assume no QT process is necessary. Usually you're gonna want to QT when you're introducing something new into your system.

I would agree with HiImSean since they are already together I would only QT what is new going into the system

I would take out the coral, lr, ls and make the current dt a qt...toss in some pvc pieces...does with prazi...then cupramine..I do a couple of each...cupramine can be very harn on centropyge and other smaller and sensitive fish so ramp up the dosage much slow than bottle recommends, esp if you have those...do not use Prime or any other ammonia binding agent when using cupramine as it will kill all...
a solid qt protocol should last 8-10 weeks...medication and observation....
good luck!

Thanks all -- more concerned about some of the new fish I'd like to eventually purchase. New tank is big enough for a goldflake or regal so rather would 'know' everything is clean in the DT before purchasing more sensitive fish.

I'm a little nervous about Cupramine. Everything I've read says it is pretty hard on the fish. I do have a small pygmy angel. Thanks for the heads up.
