Moving to Area... Hi!

So, I've been in the hobby for almost a year now, and am going to be moving with my Fiancée and my 55gallon up to the OKC area from the Tulsa Area! Wasn't really active in the community, never attended OMAS or anything, but tried keeping up with the forums and enjoyed getting opportunities to see other's tanks in the area when able.

I'm planning on moving near Edmond / Guthrie area for schooling purposes, and was wondering if their where any notable places in the area. I'm mainly needing a place to buy water from, since I can't afford a RODI unit for now and do not own a house.

I also don't have good lights, so for now it's a FOWLR, with the exception of 2 small plants I got from Oddballs for like $5. And being a 55gallon with no room in the stand, I have no sump on it due to lack of room and not owning the house I was staying in. I may be able to finally setup my sump in OKC and get a few more fish, but for now I just have 3 B/G Chromis, a Skunk shrimp named Francoise, and a small CUC.

But anywho, just figured I'd stop by and say Hello!

Hi EM,

Have any pictures of your set up.??

COMAS is a great club with lots of very knowledgable members in it.
Hopefully you can make a meeting in the near future. Our next one is Nov 20th.

Once again, welcome.

P.

You're moving into a great reef community. I didn't realize how good the members of the OK reef community have it until I moved down to Florida. Be sure to check out the store in Edmond, but don't miss out on checking out the other metro stores over time. Track down some steals in the local members' frag tanks too. i got some of my favorite pieces that way.

UCO is a good school. I finished up there with a BS in Biology last year. It's considerably cheaper than OU and the class sizes were much smaller. Thanks to the yuppies up there, Edmond is packed with some other nice little gems. Keep an eye out for good restaurants, liquor stores (if you're into wine and beer) and grocery stores. Plan old Crest has a ton of stuff that many other grocery stores lack, especially in the produce and meat world.
