Moving Urchin

I have an urchin perched right on the top hanging bracket of my SEIO powerhead and it apparently has no reason to move. The powerhead needs cleaned, can I just carefully peal the urchin of and move it? Not sure how I will accomplish this, but I do know I don't want to harm it since it has been a pleasant hitchhiker.

Just grab him quickly and put him upright on a flat surface. Don't hesitate once you grab him though. Usually they are only mildly stuck on, but once you touch them they are going to hold on as tight as possible and you will have to wait until they relax to try again.

I have 4 urchins, I move them all the time

Sure, I pick my urchin and move it all of the time. Actually when I first get frags for my tank I will put the urchin in the sump. I will either just pick it up, with gloves or grab a rock and let it attach to the rock and then move it.

Yeah, dont hesitate once you have started, it will only hurt worse

Nah, the spikes look worse than they really are in my opinion/experience.

What type of urchin? I wouldn't grab my long spined.
