Any issues with the old style MP10 pumps (blue box)? I know they don't have all of the new fancy settings, but do they still produce some pretty good flow for SPS? Thanks.
Depends on the size of the tank of course, but in a 40 or smaller they can create a wave, generate strong random flow, etc. Very good pump for smaller tanks.
The older model is just as good imo. Almost has all the same modes as es model ( i have one of each) it just doesnt have the ecosmart modes, especially ntm. And lacks wireless. But still moves water with the best of em
Its nutrient transport mode. It is a quick pulse and than a steady flow. It is supposed to basically pick up and move any settlement and than the long pulse suspends it so your overflow can " transport" it to the sump. Really good for sps tanks
I think the pump design didn't change at all, the only thing that changed is the software in the new controller. If you don't care about wireless modes and cleaner look of the new controller I think there is no difference between the two.
