MP10 Noise question

Hello everyone,

First time buying an MP10 here. I put it on my nano-tank (evolve 8) which had a thickness slightly less than 6mm, so I put on the rubber spacer. It's been running for four days now and I can hear an audible whirring sound on the 5th light on reefcrest mode. Is this normal for the "break-in" period? I aligned the wetside several times on max to minimize vibration and noise but can still hear the whirring noise in addition to the buzz coming form the motor.

Xiaoyu,

During your 2 week break-in, I would recommend running the pump in constant mode. Start at the lowest speed and gradually increase the speed over the course of the next week. At that point, switch to reefcrest and the pump should operate much more quietly.
