mp10 on 1/2 glass?

Hey RC.

Is anyone running a MP10 on 1/2 glass? Just wondering if it works the same seeing maybe i can use it to on my new tank with the MP40.

Nope max tank thickness on an mp10 is 3/8"

Probably not, the maximum listing is 3/8". I have an MP10 on my 125gal with 3/8" thick glass and it does work very well but I would not go thicker.

any tank that requires 1/2" glass would be way too big for the mp10 anyways, IMO.

I have a 45 rimless with 1/2" glass. My MP10's stick. I keep an eye on them, but they stick.

1/2" = 12.7mm

FWIW I am using 2 x MP10's on 12mm glass in my 47G. I think 12mm is the absolute limit. The pumps are holding fine and I am not concerned about them fallng off etc as I have bumped them when cleaning and they stayed where they are.

I didnt want to get the MP40 due to cost and size, and so had to do with the MP10 as the MP20 are no longer in production.

I'm also using a MP10 (and MP40) on a 150G cube with 12mm thick glass. I've never had a problem with the MP10 falling off or sliding.
