Mp10 sound proof paint.

I was taking my mp10 apart to check the bearing numbers so I could order new bearings when I got the idea to turn it on outside of the casing to see how loud it was. It is significantly more quiet without the casing on. Has anyone tried putting rubberized sound proof paint on a mp10 casing to make it more quiet?

My MP40s came with a black rubber gasket that is exactly what you describe. Your MP10 didn't?

Well it looks like I'm getting a new dry side now. I finished taking the mp10 apart after work and the magnet has a chunk missing out of it.
