Mp40 on 40b

I'm not sure if the glass would be thick enough, but a pair of MP-10's would probably be a much better fit.

Too much flow??? Never enough!!! All of my problems have been tied to not enough flow. I'd say go for two mp40's if it's in the budget, seriously. The mp40's will give you a higher volume flow than the MP10, and you can just turn the speed down. The 40 breeder is a great tank, but it's pretty wide. The mp40 would be much better to cover the width of the tank than an MP10

I do think you can have too much flow for some corals. With that said, like mentioned above you can easily adjust up or down to accommodate your coral & rock structure. I currently have one MP40 on similar dimension & is fine.

Agree for LPS and softies :)

I run an MP40 and an MP10 on my 40 Breeder. Both are on 100%. The MP40 is on tidal swell and the MP10 is on Reef crest.

The SPS seem to love it.

I have two MP40 on a 65 (same footprint just little taller then 40B). I also have two Jebao RW4 on the back glass until two MP10s are delivered later this week. My sps love the flow with full PE. Another advantage of the MP40s would be they can be easily used on a much larger tank should you ever go bigger!

I ran two MP40's on my 56 Gallon SPS reef. It was like an inch taller than a 40 Breeder.
That was until I switched to one Gyre 150 which took care of the whole tank lol.
