MP40 Wave Maker?

I have a RW8 and a MP40 which I'm controlling through my reef keeper elite. I've got them set on WaveMaker where they alternate every 5 mins. My question is will this wear out them, with it consistently cutting them off? Should I set them for power all the time? Thank you for your help.

Yes in my experience it will. I don't know about the Mp40, but the jebao does not like to start and stop.

It's a waste in my opinion to run them like that anyway, you are severely limiting the flow output from them by setting the minimum speed at 0. Again, no experience with the MP, but the RW won't run a lower speed than 30%. 29% and the pump won't turn at all.

So I have both my pumps running a 30% minimum speed at all times. Flow in the tank is better that way any how.
