MP60 Question

My aquarium is 72x36x22 and I have 2 MP40s on one end of the tank and a MP60 on the opposite end. I run in Reef Crest Mode using Anti Sync between the MP60 and the MP40s.

I've ran the MP40s for years without any issues however with the new MP60 I can not keep it from pulling a vortex from the surface of the water. Even with the MP60 7" below the water surface, I still get a vortex which spews bubbles into the aquarium. In addition, running the MP60 this low in the aquarium significantly reduces the surface agitation on this end of the aquarium. I have varied the MP60 in Reef Crest mode from 50% to 100% without any luck.

Looking at the MP60 wet side, it does not appear that there is an up/down orientation but perhaps I'm missing something here. I've combed the owners manual but can not find any supporting documentation. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure there is a solution for that. My MP60 is about 8" under the water, and I will get an occasional vortex. I've thought about filling in some of the wetside grill with an expoy to deter the vortex production. Haven't pulled the trigger on it. Don't want to ruin a wetside for the experiment. Following...

What is your surface agitation like when you run 8" below the water level? What % do you run your MP60s at? I could lower my MP60 even more but I already feel like my surface agitation is not what it should be.

I have a ton of surface agitation since I have 4 MP60s running. I think the increased surface agitation breaks up the formation of a vortex. I run all my MP60s on an Apex mostly using Reefcrest. I run 20-70% at different times of the day.
