I see what you're saying. But you either don't get what we're trying to say, or don't care. :lol: One mp60 in a small tank is a bad idea. I understand your price point. One MP60 is less than 2 40's. One 60 must be cranked up to get flow to spread through the whole tank. Heck, even at 1/4 you blast one area to death to get flow to the other end. With 40's you put them to less than half and flow is even through the whole tank and you don't blow the flesh off your corals in one spot. More expensive, yes. Overkill, yes. But you can dial them down on both ends and still have even flow through the whole tank. With the MP60 it will never be even.
But then again it's not my tank and just my 2 cents :bum:

Watching the youtube videos of the mp60 all I can see is crazy wave action. One video in particular shows it in action at MACNA. That tank doesn't look any bigger than maybe a 120gl. Now my thought on this is.....that wave action will carry throughout the tank. Much like a wave box. I know a number of folks that use wave boxes here with great success. The wave they have isn't quite as violent as the one in the videos but it gets the job done. Whatever the case may be Im a bit too deep to change course now so if this doesn't work then I guess I'll have to save up for two mp40s.....used ones that is!! :thumbsup:
That video may have bene popsted by me. I posted the first omne shortly after the expo opened and they unvield it. I have seen it firsthand..the tank they have it on is thick..much thicker than a 125 and was long
