mpcart's 240G build

Sure, our club in the St. Louis area (SLASH) has a program that encourages members to share frags rather than sell frags. Essentially, there is a long list of corals that people have and you get points for donating to others and use points to get corals from others. You have to keep a positive point count so that people are both donating and receiving. You also can't sell a coral you have received through the program until you have given away three frags of that coral to others. The program is open to paid members and the points and program is administered by a CDP manager in the club.

It is a great program and you can check out our club sub-forum for more info.

The people who started SLASH had a vision and sought a better way. :D

Excellent description of the CDP, Mike, it came about after I left. The tank is looking good and I know will only get better and better.

3 1/2 months since the last post and the tank is a little fuller and I'm seeing very good growth.

I haven't made any changes to the equipment. MH are running 7 hours a day, I'm not running the calcium reactor right now and not using any additives.

I have a few corals lying around in the sand that I need to place as I'm trying to keep as much open space as possible.

Speaking of that bubble tip anemone if the conditions are just right it will start to split. I put one in my tank and I wish I never did. It has killed to many of my SPS

One question does anyone have a solution to removing anemones which are attached to rocks. I heard of blasting them with a power head but does this really work?

Your tank looks very nice.

New FTS. Started running my calcium reactor full time about two months ago and am seeing growth accelerating.

Amazing set up and tank!!
Quick question though. How come you don't bother plumb a frag tank with your main system? You got so much space and extra equipment. Those frag trays hanging on your main tank is taking away how beautiful your tank is.
