Mr.Aqua 12 long NPS tank

My blueberry still going strong, although its been only about 2.5 months. I just feed the hell out of this tank few times a day with all kinds of food, small and bigger . I did lose my electric scallop though. Everything else is still happy. I have new resident fish in it now, will take pictures when is less shy. I am working on getting my Elos 120XL set up as quickly as possible ( most likely will get wet in a month), it will be a deepwater biotope with NPS corals and deepwater Anthias, so when ready this little tank will be taken down and corals transferred to new Elos.

Ooooooo Mark, that tank is going to be sweet! I'm actually starting a build thread for the new year of my new project that's been on hold until now...very similar style to what you're doing but with some twist. Deepwater for sure-(if anyone knows a supplier that can get in Photoblepharon palpebratus please let me know) but I'm planning on transferring most of crinoids to the new tank. I'll probably keep one in the current 20 gallon (will soon be a Mr.Aqua 22!) but I want to showcase my medusa worms with nano fish lot of different small shrimp species like their host emperors along with pederson's,etc in the current system and keep it a mixed lps/nps style system (almost a muc diving like biotope).

Best of luck with the blueberry! Any hints on the new fish???

Nice project on your end. I am sending you PM with supplier who can get almost any fish you want. They are not sponsor here, so I will not post their name to get blocked. Contact Brian and tell him Mark ( mmreef) , he will know who I am , referred you to him.

Big E, Thank you for that link. That was incredible! and thank you Mark for the pm. I'm stoked to see how yours turns out, great concept for inspiration. My new tank is up and running but i'm going to be limited on anthias numbers for sure on this one but it shall still have many redeeming qualities. my thread will be up tomorrow.

Congradulations Mark, I was thrilled to see that you and Noy were both featured in the magazine when we got it in at work last week!

Thank you guys, i appreciate it a lot. Noy, i follow every post you make and read all your threads, to learn as much as i can . I have new 120 gal. system in works that will be NPS mostly suns, dendros and gorgonians.

Thanks!

A tiny bit of Cyclopeeze to get the corals opened up and a whole bunch of 24 hour old Artemia nauplii are in an autofeeder that doses every 10 minutes. Probably in about a 10/90 or 5/95 ratio. And it's enough of it that every 10 minutes all the fish can get a little bit to eat. Then I manually feed twice a day with LRS Fish Frenzy mostly. Sometimes Hikari mysis, live adult enriched brine, chopped up clam or shrimp.

The oldest anthias is a male P. tuka that is coming up on 9 years this summer.

Congrats Mark, on a nice write up and a beautiful tank!

I set up the tank at Steinhart so I'm glad it was inspiring ;)

Thank you, i followed your thread on it few years ago, my plan is to run my tank at 72F, as mostly i want Ventralis anthias and few other peaceful deepwater fish.
